  • Ofsted is a non-ministerial government department which inspects schools to improve educatory standards, and it's website enables parents to search for day-care providers and schools to access recent reports, which detail their strengths and shortcomings
  • For an overview of the education system in England, read Citizens Advice's guide here
  • The British Consul offers assistance on education and learning in England and offers websites for people in EnglandWalesScotland and Northern Ireland
  • The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) charity provides parents with advice on issues such as exclusion, admissions and special education needs
  • Parents can also obtain advice on education from the Independent Panel for Special Education Advice
  • Adult learners and students can access information on qualifications and university, as well as general advice on career improvement, at Learndirect.co.uk
