Ofsted is a non-ministerial government department which inspects schools to improve educatory standards, and it's website enables parents to search for day-care providers and schools to access recent reports, which detail their strengths and shortcomings

The British Consul offers assistance on education and learning in England and offers websites for people in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland
The Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) charity provides parents with advice on issues such as exclusion, admissions and special education needs
Parents can also obtain advice on education from the Independent Panel for Special Education Advice
Adult learners and students can access information on qualifications and university, as well as general advice on career improvement, at Learndirect.co.uk
For students, the costs associated with university life may appear daunting in the current age of student loans and tuition fees. The Government offers free financial advice to students and a video tutorial here
